Together with Doberman, the Swedish Public Service Radio (Sveriges Radio) have tackled the increasing challenge to get the younger generation to connect with radio.
– P3 has an amazing range of content, but too few young people aged 15-25 choose radio today, independent of channel. Our mission has been to help Sveriges Radio better understand the behavior of the young audience and design a digital product that makes P3-listening a truly desirable experience, says Johan Bernunger, Account Director at Doberman in Stockholm.
The P3 Radio app takes its cue from today’s intersection of music consumption and mobile lifestyle. Through the app users can listen to live P3-channels and browse the current and upcoming music playlist. Users can also love bomb friends with song greetings or listen to their song in Spotify. The app is built upon existing content, already available via traditional FM- and online channels.
Doberman is, since several years, Sveriges Radio’s lead design partner in concept development and design of their digital experiences, such as their responsive web and the on-demand app Sveriges Radio Play and the popular children’s app Radioapan.
The P3 Radio app is available for iOS in Appstore and Android in Google Play.
