Digital collecting box for Musikhjälpen launched.

There’s a new way in town to raise money. Doberman have teamed up with Radiohjälpen and Sveriges Radio to create a new digital collection box (“Insamlingsbössan”) for everyone’s favorite fundraiser Musikhjälpen. Now everyone’s mobile can be a collecting box. It even rattles when you shake it, fancy that.

With Insamlingsbössan everyone can start their own collection and see in real-time how much money they have raised. It also features exclusive content directly from the hosts of Musikhjälpen.

Musikhjälpen will broadcast live from Stortorget in Malmö December 10th-16th and this year it raises money for childrens’ right to clean water in slum areas.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your mobile and go create your own collection!

  • Radical problem solving

    Posted December 09, 2015

Using design methods, SKL and Doberman shook up the rigid and ineffective world of solving problems in Swedish municipalities.

This Thursday, SKL (the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions) are hosting a press event in Stockholm to showcase their truly disruptive Förändra Radikalt (“Change Radically”) project, which Doberman designed and helped implement. The goal was to apply design methodology to the toughest challenges in the public sector, so the project not only gave rise to a whole host of new and innovative solutions and tools, but ultimately an entirely new way of working that will help the nine pilot municipalities that participated in the project continue creating more effective solutions for a very long time. The key to the process that we designed is that the municipalities now collaborate with their actual end users, and that together they build and test quick prototypes, all of which both makes the end results more effective and the road to reach them faster.

This collaborative innovation program has been so successful that the pilot municipalities are themselves now spreading their new knowledge to the rest of Sweden’s 290 municipalities, teaching them a way of working that gets their citizens involved and uses prototypes to find the best tools to overcome whatever challenges they each might face. Today and tomorrow. So in essence, this project has radically changed problem solving for local authorities all across Sweden, which means it could potentially affect every single Swede in the end. Not a bad day’s work, if you ask us.

  • A new monkey in a tree

Eternal kid favorite Radioapan is back with a vengeance, and Doberman helped him climb his tree.

A few years back we created the Radioapan-app for Swedish National Radio. Since then Radioapan has been a faithful buddy to Swedish kids, full of fun, games, songs and fairytales – the fourth most used app for kids 2-4 years, on tablet.
Now we have created a sequel; the new app Radioapan’s Treehut, for kids aged 2 and up. The focus this time around is on listening. The app not only offers new games and songs; there are also new fairytales, with the opportunity of downloading more from SR’s existing content, which are then available off-line, to keep the app evolving over time.

    – This is one of those projects that feel a little special – to be a part of so many Swedish kids’ and families’ everyday lives, providing quality entertainment, makes us really proud, says Patricia Richter, Project Manager at Doberman.

Within two days of release, the app was the number one downloaded free kids game app, and it even got reviewed in leading Swedish newspapers (glowingly, in case you wondered).

Doberman tops Universum and Metrojobb’s yearly poll

The truth is, apparently, really out there. Because Swedish employees have voted Doberman the best middle-sized place to work at in 2015. We are naturally extremely proud: having satisfied employees is vital to us, an integral part of our company culture and absolutely crucial to our success, so this is very strong proof that we are doing something right.

This yearly poll of Sweden’s best employers is conducted by Universum and Metrojobb. More than 35 000 employees across all of Sweden and in all sorts of companies, grade their workplace on its internal identity as well as the employees’ own satisfaction with and loyalty towards their employer. Doberman’s score was 93,53 out of 100, which, of course, is good but still leaves a little room for improvement.

    – We, as a company, are our employees; we give them a lot of responsibility but also a lot of freedom, says Lisa Lindström, Doberman’s CEO, continuing: And we try to foster a culture that allows people to take charge of their own situation, to experiment and prototype in order to be successful and grow. Because we believe that as our employees grow, Doberman grows.
